On behalf of the Key Stage One Gardening Club- Mrs Cinicola would like to say a big thank you to Mr Ben Gregory from BWG Plants in Drayton for his kind donation of insect attracting plants, flower seeds and vegetable seeds. They will be a great addition to our nature garden.

Ruishton Oak Crafts

Ruishton Oak is an enterprise unit run by pupils in Year 6. The children appoint officers and a committee, and are given a float at the beginning of the school year. During the year they are expected to run the "business" on commercial lines and show a profit by the year end. They then decide where to spend the money. Some may be ploughed back into continuing or expanding the business and an element may be donated to charity. Over the last few years the business has run constantly at a profit (although they don't draw salaries!) and the product line has developed into Christmas decorations, soap, garden trugs, bird boxes and a variety of craft items.
