The PTA helps raise money for the children of Ruishton Primary School. With the current cuts to school budgets the PTA is increasingly important to the school in raising funds for those little extra items which will benefit all our children.
This year the PTA will be giving the school £600 to help pay for all children in Year 4 to loan a brass musical instrument and have weekly lessons to learn how to play the instrument they loan. Each term the teaching and support staff can put forward ideas to the PTA for items they wish to purchase for the children and then the PTA members vote and either agree or decline the requests.
While we recognise that lots of parents do not want to join the committee we are always needing help at the fundraising events. If you might be able to offer half an hour to sell some cakes, make tea/coffee or help cook on the BBQ your help would be very much appreciated. The more helpers we have the easier it is on everyone.
If you would like to offer your help at the forthcoming events please email the PTA and we will contact you nearer the time to see if you are available. If you are not able to help then just come along to the events, enjoy yourselves and help us raise more money for our school and children.
