EYFS New Starters

We hope that you and your child will be very happy during your time here.

This page is your online "Welcome Pack", which includes general information about the school, guidance on our uniform policy as well an academic year calendar. You can find further information on starting school here.

Please work through the steps below to ensure that you have read key information and have completed the necessary administration required as part of your child's enrolment. Please ensure that this has been completed no later than Wednesday 2nd July.

Normal school opening and closing times are 8.45am until 3.15pm. Your child's first few days will be as follows:

  • Day 1 Tuesday 8th September, attending until 12pm
  • Day 2 Wednesday 9th September, attending until 1:30pm (including lunch)
  • Day 3 Thursday 10th September, attending until 1:30pm (including lunch)
  • Day 4, Friday 11th September onwards, full days

  1. Data Collection Form
    • Please complete the data collection form included in your Welcome Pack.
    • Please ensure that you provide us with at least three contacts (including yourselves) for safeguarding reasons. These should be contacts you would be happy for us to call in case of an emergency (e.g. a close family friend or extended family member).

  2. Free School Meal Application
    • All pupils are entitled to free school meals until they enter Year 3. By completing this application, your child may continue to be eligible for free school meals. In addition, the school will receive additional funding to support your child from Reception, so please do complete this form as a part of your child's enrolment if any of the following apply to you.
      • Income Support (IS)
      • Employment and Support Allowance (Income Related)
      • Universal Credit with an annual household income of less than £7400 after tax
      • Income-based Job Seekers Allowance (IBJSA)
      • Guaranteed Element of State Pension Credit
      • Support under Part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999
      • Child Tax Credit provided they are not entitled to Working Tax Credit, with an annual taxable income (as assessed by HMRC) of less than £16,190

  3. School Meals
    • Menus are released termly on a three-week cycle and have a main, vegetarian and alternative option. Click here to see the menu for the Autumn Term. Although all children in Reception are entitled to a free meal, these still must be ordered in advance. School meals are usually ordered via the Arbor Parent App (a welcome link will be sent to your email address) and must be done no less than ten days prior.
    • Whilst we are in the process of setting up your Arbor accounts, please complete contact the office to select your choices for the first three weeks of term. Please complete this by Wednesday 2nd July.
  4. School Milk and Snacks

    • Please note that our school is allergy aware and snacks containing nuts are not permitted at any time.

    • Bookings are made via the Arbor app. We will notify parents when bookings for September open in July. More guidance on the app can be found here.
  7. Absence Notification
    • Please click here to find out about how to notify us if your child is unable to attend school.
  8. Medicines and Medical Conditions
    • Any medicine that you wish to be administered during the school day must be kept in a clearly-labelled container and brought to the School Office where you will be asked to complete an “Administration of Medicines” form.
    • Asthma inhalers and Epipens must be named and are kept in the classroom.
    • For any medical conditions you consider life-threatening, a Medical Care Plan must be completed. Please speak to the School Office if this applies to you.
