Home Learning

Home Learning is handed out every Friday. All Home Learning from the previous week is collected in and added to the children's Learning Journal folder. We know time is precious at home, this home learning will be an extension of something they have been working on in the week. If you do not have time, or your child is not in the right frame of mind to complete it, please don't panic!

PE

This half term Mr Williams and Mr Crawley will be teaching the children PE. Their PE lessons will take place every Thursday. Please send your child to school wearing the appropriate PE kit.

Reading

We use Read Write Inc. as our phonics scheme to encourage progress in reading. Children are given fully decodable RWI 'book bag' books each week, which link to their phonetic level. These will be changed every Friday by the children's phonics teacher.

School Day

Our school day runs from 8:55 - 3:05. The gate opens at 8:45am in readiness for registration. Children should enter and leave through our EYFS gate (situated next to the KS2 entrance).

Class Dojo:

Class Dojo remains an integral tool as a day to day communication line for staff and pupils with parents.  We will always aim to respond as soon as possible; with full time teaching commitments, we appreciate your patience and understanding.

Tapestry:

Tapestry will continue to be used by EYFS staff in order to record learning against the EYFS curriculum. Please feel free to add any of your observations from what the children are doing at home... we love to see this on their journal!
