Welcome to Spring 1 in Year 5 

Our book focus for this half term is 'What a Waste' by Jess French.

This half term, during Science, we are learning all things materials! We will be looking at the different properties of materials, how they can be separated alongside reversible and irreversible changes. We will be using our class text to support us in writing our own persuasive letters to Miss Collier and the council to improve recycling within our own school environment. We will also be writing a non-chronological report about Earth Day!

In our Jigsaw PSHE sessions this half-term, we will be looking at 'Dreams and Goals'.

Our school value for this half term is 'Compassion'.
